Playing Can Also Be A Learning Experience
Closed Published August 3rd, 2011 by admin in UncategorizedPlaytime is a great opportunity for children to learn all sorts of needed skills. Some parents are not aware that the hours children spend playing make believe is preparing them for the future. They are practicing parenting skills while playing house and mimicing what they see being played out at home. It is important to let them have time to use their imaginations and spend time trying and doing things on their own.
Because many parents work and children are put in structured care at an early age, they sometimes lose that opportunity to have free play. It is a good idea to let them have time just to relax and play with no structure. Dress up clothes from the second hand store, old pots and pans and a corner in the house to set up their own little kingdom can make the play fun for the kids. Don’t try to over structure and let the fun just happen. Think of everyday as a learning opportunity and remember playtime is the best place for the children to learn and practice while they enjoy this special time. These are the special years and they can never to replaced. Enjoy them while there are available.
